Animations and transitions are choppy [New UI - Mobile]

Difficult to capture in a still image but I was able to capture this "transitional" state in action. My phone is an Android, Moto G4 running Firefox 68.

When cards change size or when the green "tick circles" animate, the animation is often choppy. I wonder if anything can be done to make the movement appear smoother?

If we can't and others report this choppiness then removing some the transition effects for small screens might be a consideration. Ideally I would like phone users to be able to fly through these questions and for the experience to feel equally as nimble :)

I think removing drop shadows may be useful as well (for example the shadow on the image upload placeholder) -- they're known to be expensive to layout and painting. I think it actually looks nicer as a flat design.
