Problem type: Something else Description: Submitting a GET test causes substantial RAM usage on Firefox Steps to Reproduce: When submitting a 17CE GET test Firefox allocates substantial memory space(>6GiB) and triggers the Linux OOM killer to kill the process.

In Google Chrome browser only allocates ~400MiB memory.

Bug reproduction instruction

  1. Browse https://17ce.com
  2. On the top center textbox enter https://mozilla.com
  3. Click "檢測一下" text at the right of the textbox to start a test

For some reason about:processes doesn't seem to account for the RAM usage of the process and only shows several hundreds of megabytes.

Thanks for the report, but I'm not able to reproduce the issue. For me the test is performed but does not consume too much. image image

Tested with: Browser / Version: Firefox Nightly 105.0a1 (2022-08-10), Firefox Beta 104.0b8 Operating System: Ubuntu 20.04.2

@brlin-tw , could you try clearing cache/data/cookies, or use a clean profile, and check again? Also if there are any changes made to the default settings of the browser (e.g. in about:config) please revert to the default settings.
