Are there any open questions left? And what's the current process for closing a RFC and moving forward to implementation? Would love to see this added in.
Asking partially to try to prevent this from closing, but would be nice if this one stayed open at least so people can discover the workaround with the pinned resolution.

also ran into this issue https://github.com/npm/node-tar/issues/321 where a "readTree" fails due to it not being able to parse a tarball correctly. Adding it here for tracking purposes.

@Rugvip I opened a PR https://github.com/npm/node-tar/issues/321 which seems to resolve the premature closing error. I'm hoping that this will be able to be iterated on and get merged and released...
Node 18 is entering its LTS phase on the 22nd I think? (commenting to prevent closure)
