@h4x0rm1k3 I'd rather not bother with a VM... But yeah, you can run Chrome and Chrome Canary side by side on Windows so maybe I'll try that and see how...

Fascinating: absolutely clean Chrome Canary install, literally all I did was install the extension and login to my Microsoft account... And still the same behaviour. Guess it's time to try...
