Seems like something broke here

This is fixed in master, seems like the gem has not had a release in a while. Use: gem 'ratyrate', git: "git://github.com/wazery/ratyrate.git" in your gemfile and it should be ok.

I might add, in addition to robban's comment, you'll need to re-run the generator in order for your javascript to be updated. (And select "Y" to overwrite when asked.)
