Option to give a pause at peak SDR when using the keyboard to adjust brightness with upscaling enabled

I have a suggestion: when the betterdisplayXDR preset is on, and the brightness OSD is enhanced by betterdisplay by displaying nits, and brightness can be shot up to the full XDR 1600nits brightness, it would be great if when keeping the brightness+ button pressed, the brightness increase stalled for say 1 second at max "official" brightness, before continuing into XDR range, or alternatively required the user to let go of the brightness+ button and press it again. I find the ability of being able to set brightness higher than official useful on some occasions, but most of the time, i find it is easy to overshoot the brightness when on a space with dark content, and then when swiping to some other space with lighter content, feel like I'm all of a sudden staring at the sun, and have to mess around lowering the brightness. Now that I think of it, has anybody ever though about "space content-aware" auto-brightness?
