[Feature]: Edit the DEFAULT/STANDARD keyboard shortcuts/key bindings

Open denisdamata opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Feature description

Switching between blocks with Ctrl+Shift+1-9 is too bureaucratic. I'd like to edit the default shortcut/keybindings and if possible create a shortcut for simple and fast switching between adjacent blocks.

Implementation Suggestion

I'm also having trouble with Ctrl+Shift+←/→ which I use a lot to select words, but it's instead moving to another block. Allowing to change the keybindings would be very helpful.

Using the unique arrow keys is hell, because I autocomplete text all the time. The solution was to remap the arrow buttons to a layer activated with Caps Lock, using the mouseless program, ,, e on my keyboard is Caps Lock+J,I,L e K, so I need to hold down Ctrl+Shift+Caps Lock to be able to switch between the blocks, feasible, but if I could change it would be better.

Will this be developed? The default keybinds aren't viable for many users accustomed to vim motions or similar

For me, it's my AZERTY layout that makes it tedious to switch tabs as digits and [] aren't first-level keys, so the only working binding for me right now is Alt + AltGr + [...

Also I just tried to do a copy and paste in Emacs, which is Alt+w and Ctrl+y respectively, that was fun 🙃
