4.2 not working with Arduino Uno

Connected the waveshare 4.2 as described in the WIKI; downloaded the demo code. Display remains blank? I also tried other arduino code from the internet. None work; the screen remains blank. Any advise on how to get this to work. Also; FYI, this is the second e-paper screen; neither have worked.
