Feature Request: Opening a Group from Right Sidebar to a New Window
The user would like the ability to:
- Detach an entire group from the right sidebar.
- Have this group open in a new window.
- Ensure that all the apps and bookmarks inside this group are also visible and accessible in the new window.
Use Case: This feature would be particularly useful in scenarios where a user is working with multiple groups simultaneously and wants to focus on one group on each window. It would enhance the multitasking capabilities of the application.
Questions and Clarifications
- Is it currently possible to detach a group from the right sidebar into a new window?
- If not, is the implementation of such a feature within the realm of possibility for future updates?
This feature has the potential to add significant value to the Wavebox application by enhancing its versatility and user experience working in multiple screens.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. This isn't something that's possible at the moment, we only support detaching a single app (right-click > Move app into new window).
That said, we are looking at ways we can try to improve the multi-window experience, either by offering multiple sidebars, detaching groups/apps into new windows etc so I'll pass this on to the rest of the team too 👍
We have scoped some of the work, but there are some sizable engineering chunks to work on to bring this to fruition. I don't have any other news on progress on when it's going to be scheduled at the moment I'm afraid.

Have to agree. I find myself enjoying Wavebox, but I keep looking for this ability to basically have multiple wavebox windows with one profile. I tried two profile and while that works, its kind of annoying too.
