Using keyboard shortcuts to switch to a tab always switches to it in the first group

Expected & actual behavior Setting the Keyboard Shortcut 'Switch to tab in position 1' switches to tab 1 in the first group. So if you select the second (or any other group) and press the key combination that is set, I'd expect it to go to tab 1 in that group. Seveal different key combinations have been set in case it was tied to a specific key combination.
Steps to reproduce Set Keyboard Shortcut 'Switch to tab in position 1' to a key combination. Save. Change to a group that is not the first one. Press the key combination and it goes to that tab (in this case position 1) in the first group.
Is the bug persistent or intermittent? Always happens.
Screenshots I haven't provided these as the instructions to reproduce should be enough.

Thanks. I'll look at adding a second set of shortcuts in, which will allow you to go to position 1 in the current group, position 2 in the current group etc...
Does this mean that the keyboard shortcuts, as they stand now, are working as intended and my understanding of them is wrong? If that is the case I think they need to be renamed to make it more clear that's what they do.
Looks like a substantial regression to me compared to Wavebox Classic, where separate shortcuts for switching between groups (accounts) and then switching between accounts within the current group worked as expected. Now not only that tab switching is broken (by switching to a corresponding tab in the first group), but also the switch between groups doesn't work, as anytime I set the shortcuts in the preference pane, they either reset or don't work.
