Custom element doesn't exist

Open Markobu98 opened this issue 3 years ago • 4 comments

I wanted to set up ha-dashboard. However I get an error saying the custom element doesn't exist: ha-dashboard. I had it working on my pi but I recently moved to a vm and started from scratch.

I had this error also several times but also with other cards. It's no issue with ha-dashboard. I think it has something to do with caching. I could solve this issue by clearing the complete storage. You can do it in your browser (chrome) by hitting F12 then navigate to the tab "App" and select "Storage" on the left. Then click the button to clear the complete website storage. After that you have to relogin.

On your android phone you can go to the settings of the home assistant app and clear the cache. After this stepps this issue was solved.

has the same issue with the demo code. browser cache clear does net help

EDIT: I use 8.0 RC2, could that be the problem? EDIT2: after third reboot it works, not sure why... EDIT3: browser cache didnt helped, but load again with Shift+Reload(Mac) or Control+Reload(Windows) helps.
