Request: merging adapters proposal

Hi, what do you think to merge my adapter in this library? Fact is: items need to be mainly managed and not only animated, so giving opportunity to have both it is not that bad :-)

My adapter is quite stable, I am working on other improvements and functionalities now in my Dev Branch, if you like the idea please let me know.
