Slows down

If I run transformations of any sort, it will slow down and cause a long delay in displaying images. How to solve this?

I can confirm this. I just switched from Picasso to Glide, i was using the Picasso version of Transformations (3.3.0). The applied blur was pretty much instant. With 4.8.0 glide and Trans 3.3.0, it takes a minute, if ever to load the image. If it doesn't loads, it will hang Glide globally in the activity.

The first thing i do, is to load the blurred background image, if it hangs, glide won't even lot the images in the adapter.

im seeing this today also bit of a nightmare and makes this unusable. did anyone ever get a resolution ?
