Unfortunately, the current version (v0.2023.02.21.08.03.stable_01) has not yet resolved this issue.

The same issue remains even in version v0.2023.03.14.08.03.stable_01.

You may already know, but for reference, I would like to explain the Japanese input method.

In Japanese input, you input the alphabet (Roman letters) that corresponds to the kana and select from conversion candidates to input kanji (or kana). Conversion candidates display multiple kanji or kana characters.

For example, when entering the word "富士山" (Mount Fuji), you would type "fujisan" on the keyboard, and the pre-conversion string "ふじさん" (kana) would be displayed. Then, you would select "富士山" (kanji) from the conversion candidates and press Enter again to finalize the input as "富士山".

Therefore, when using Warp for Japanese input, it is difficult to confirm whether the input string is correctly converted because the intermediate conversion string (the above "ふじさん") cannot be checked.

Additionally, please note that this issue also occurs with the prompt input of Warp AI.

Incidentally, this sentence has been translated from Japanese to English by Warp AI✌️
