Programmable background color

Dupe Check

Describe the solution you'd like?

I like to have different terminal background colors for different projects I'm working on (yes, I have too many windows&tabs open for my own good) and for iTerm2 I have a small script that sets a slight variant of the current theme background color (e.g. tweaks the hue value but keeps other params). Are there any plans for a programmable API that would let me do something similar?

Hi @dvdplm thanks for submitting. We're currently tracking a related request here https://github.com/warpdotdev/Warp/issues/478. We'd need to make a Warp CLI for this. The closest is saving a Launch Configuration as you can specify the tab color and names in the yaml but not change the background color of the theme.

In my case, I have tabs that use remote ssh sessions. Once in a while, the session gets disconnected. I'd like to have an easy visual indicator, e.g. set separate color for the Warp tab depending on the current hostname.

Same issue, MANY tabs open and sometimes I am entering commands into the wrong session. Colored background would be extremely helpful.
