Describe the bug
In emacs: set a mark with the default keybindings- control-space, warp steals that keybinding to ask warp ui which I consider inappropriate- and non-obvious how to disable it to me.
To reproduce
In emacs: set a mark with the default keybindings- control-space, warp steals that keybinding to ask warp ui which I consider inappropriate- and non-obvious how to disable it to me.
Expected behavior
Don't override keybindings like this- at least while in emacs for example

Does this block you from using Warp daily?
No
Is this a Warp specific issue? (i.e. does it happen in Terminal, iTerm, Kitty, etc.)
N/A, the issue only applies to a Warp specific feature. (i.e. Warp AI, Workflows)
Warp Internal (ignore): linear-label:b8107fdf-ba31-488d-b103-d271c89cac3e

Thanks for letting us know @eddof13 As a workaround to this issue, you can clear or change the keybind for "Toggle Warp AI" in Settings > Keyboard Shortcuts, this will help with the conflict between Warp AI and Emacs shortcuts.

Hey @eddof13 After some internal discussion, we'll be working on a change in the App to let users know of the conflicting key binds. No ETA on launch, but any updates we'll post on this thread. Thanks again for submitting.
Hello, macos 13.6.7 v0.2024.06.25.08.02.stable_01
Recently adopted Warp love it so far!
Unable to use ^space (ctrl-space) in emacs to set mark. I tried the workaround but even though WARP AI is set to ^` it is overridden by ^space (ctrl-space).
Please fix.
Hey, The same here v0.2024.11.19.08.02.stable_01
I'm adapting to use Ward, I'd like to use ^space (ctrl-space) in my Vim environment, but even after disabling ` ^`` still not working :/

So I use Warp as my default terminal but to use emacs I use macos terminal. What is odd is that the setting provided by Warp is ignored! Hope this gets fixed soon.
As a workaround to this issue, you can clear or change the keybind for "Toggle Warp AI" in

@dannyneira I'm having the same issue with control+space conflicting with my tools, but I don't see the option to configure the Toggle Warp AI key bind in the settings panel.
Same here:
v0.2025.01.22.08.02.stable_02
@dannyneira @warpdotdev-devx I installed warp on a new system (Sequoia 15.5) and like the others I supposed the issue had returned
the only settings I've changed are setting left and right option to meta, and verifying there is no keybinding set to ^space
no AI etc toggle opens up, but emacs doesn't recognize set mark
v0.2025.05.28.08.11.stable_03
however, I managed to track it down thanks to stack overflow- it turns out this may no longer be a bug on your end:
on mac os now one of the default keyboard shortcuts is ^space in Input Sources -> Select the previous input source https://stackoverflow.com/a/55560455
removing that fixed my issue (and hopefully for the others)
