Project.toml is not set up for Pkg.add()

I just ran into this and thought I would file it:

(@v1.4) pkg> add [email protected]:waralex/DashboardsExamples.git
    Cloning git-repo `[email protected]:waralex/DashboardsExamples.git`
   Updating git-repo `[email protected]:waralex/DashboardsExamples.git`
ERROR: expected a `name` entry in project file at `/var/folders/rj/njz8jnv11637flz6vgnb6bz00000gp/T/jl_AhRKPO/Project.toml`
