There seems to be a bug

Further let me say that I like AwesomeArchive a lot and that I hope development will be continued (as actually the version say till TB32 and we have TB45). What can we expect ?

I have Thunderbird setup to archive with

  • Yearly archived folders
  • Keep existing folder structure

When I archive in TB a message from the Inbox, it get's stored under Archives\2016\Inbox When I use AwesomeArchive with the Scope-Only it get's stored under Archive\2016

When I archive in TB a message from the Inbox\AAA, it get's stored under Archives\2016\Inbox\AAA When I use AwesomeArchive with the Scope-Only it get's stored under Archive\2016\AAA

As a result, it's not possible with AwesomeArchive to archive messages from Inbox or Sent in corresponding Subdir

Maybe It's by-design but I consider it as wrong. The TB-rules should be followed, eventually with an overuling separate switch or additional Scopes in AwesomeArchive.

Will this be changed, because it's very annoying ?

Let me check when have time, now busy with project for work. Basically, AAA use built in functions to archive email, the Scope-Only is only use for select which email to be archived.

Anyway if you can send me your option screenshot it might be helpful. Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply !

This are the archive advanced-settings in Thunderbird :

As you can see above, TB is configured to put archived messages in YYYY/Inbox or YYYY/Sent a.s.o (option Keep existing ......)

And these are the AAA-options

I hope this helps

Thanks

Kind regards

Walter
