No Automatic Locale Detection
Summary
This application seems to lack locale detection, at least on Linux.
This has lead to confusion in the past as to if English is even an option (see #717.) I would argue that for practical reasons, after fumbling around for a few minutes, it still is not.
Ideally, this application should be able to detect the locale from the LANG environment variable at runtime, or use an API that supports automatic locale detection.
Failing that, an internationally recognized symbol (such as this) for setting the interface's locale should be accessible from the main window.
Environment
- OS: Fedora 41, KDE Plasma 6.3.4; Kernel 6.13.9-200.fc41.x86_64
- Installed version: 0.13.1 via Flatpak (FlatHub) - Flatpak manifest
Example
This is the last thing any native English speaker / writer (or of any other non-sinitic language) expects to see:
Thank you for your feedback. We will add language adaptation in the next version
This is by far my favourite mind map tool (thank you so much for making it!). The most comfortable and pretty I found. I've been using it since 0.8 or so.
Despite I didn't understand lots of things, it still had a language selector that made me able to know what some buttons did:
But newer versions (0.15.0) do not have that language option:
So now is nearly impossible for me to use it, sadly.
Is the english support deprecated? Is it still possible to change the language anywhere? (I translated the options menu via translating an screenshot but I didn't find a language option).
