Cannot zoom with trackpad

Hi, I have installed aerozoom and think it's great - it works exactly as it should with the mouse scroll wheel

Unfortunately I cannot get it working with the built in trackpad on my Huawei laptop. I don't see any mention of trackpads, so not sure it it should work or not?

I use the laptop on a desk with a mouse and external monitor and generally I don't need the zoom; it's when I use the laptop on my knee without the monitor or mouse that I really need the zoom feature - so this would be fantastic if it could work.

I also don't know how I would open the control panel when I don't have the mouse connected, as there are no physical mouse buttons on the laptop.
