What's the license for this?

Hi @wammar, does this code have a license? Would you consider licensing under MIT or BSD-3?

Thanks for your interest! I just added a CC license to this repository. If you can't use the code under this license, please email me at [email protected] and we'll figure something out.

Thank you!

It would be better to probably go with the one I did just to avoid conflicts. If you like CC better, let me know why and I’ll look it over.

Many thanks, Beka

@wammar if your work derives from @resteorts's code, even slightly (i.e. you looked at it), you almost certainly need to license your work with a license that's compatible with her GPL-like license.

the CC license you chose is not compatible, because it's allows people to derive work from your code and not share those derivations. This is something that @resteorts's license expressly forbids.

If you didn't look at her code at all, then you can choose a license that you like.

I have another thread with @resteorts where I asked for a more permissive license. https://github.com/resteorts/ebLink/issues/3
