Open Refzlund opened this issue 1 year ago • 6 comments

Describe the feature you'd like.

Ability to hide unnecessary noise when starting dev server;

node v20.17.0, and vite v5.4.10 are not yet supported in the Community edition of Console Ninja.
We are working hard on it for you https://tinyurl.com/3h9mtwra.

Estimated release dates:
  - Community users: around 23rd December, 2024 (subject to team availability)
  - PRO users: priority access is available now

If you don't want to see the notification, you may pause Console Ninja with the Console Ninja: Pause. This will pause Console Ninja on your project and you will no longer see the message.

Hi! Thanks for the feedback. The benefit of this option (and maybe I should have clarified beforehand) would be, that the extension "kicks in" whenever the current version starts working. It would declutter the terminal for someone who finds themselves on the autistic spectrum with an overanalytic mind that absorbs and processes unnecessary information.

I'm often very logically locked into a specific issue in my code, and I do tend to be distracted enough to open a ticket. It's an accessibility future request — but I get if the forced ad placement is a requirement for revenue and upkeep.

By disabling it, I'd have to track the support manually — and then it being installed seems a bit pointless :(

I'll re-open as a feature request

I'm getting a similar message:

$ ng serve

✘ webpack v5.94.0 is not yet supported in the Community edition of Console Ninja.

I agree with Refzlund. I think this kind of information is not necessary inside the terminal when executing code. It would be better placed in the notifications area.

In case you missed it, mentioned above:

The problem, sometimes it spams 15 these kind of message for example in nestjs project run. It would be good to switch off. It is more annoying than shtick.
