Update Installation section

Open techexo opened this issue 7 years ago • 3 comments

There has been some discussions over there regarding the installation instructions, and there has been multiple tickets for such issues.

I am volunteering to work on this in the coming weeks (with an "s"). Please feel free to contribute here issues you might have had installing wallabag on a dedicated host, shared host or other configurations.

@ryantrip, are all graphics sized correctly, but images looks blurry? If so, graphics just should be redrawn in @2x resolution.

A lot of retina screenshots with controls in different states will be required for slicing hires graphics. Most of required graphics are here.

Do you have MacOS? There is this tool called ThemeEngine where you can open the ".car" files with resources from the MacOS GUI.

I didn't think about extracting system graphics for some reason... Will try that.

Let me know if you need help with anything, I have a little experience with the software. Thanks for the hard work!

@ryantrip I've updated skin and now it should be more HiDPI-friendly.

@tkashkin It looks great! There are a few things which are not HiDPI yet I've noticed. I took a screenshot here for your reference. You might also notice the extra thick border around the windows as well. image

@ryantrip I'll update main window buttons soon. Did you notice any other bugs or LoDPI graphics?

tkashkin avatar Jun 29 '18 23:06 tkashkin

@ryantrip I've redrawn main window header buttons for both Lo- and HiDPI. I've also added inactive state to match native apps behaviour. inactive

But there's a little problem with button states: :disabled state conflicts with :framefocus, so disabled buttons are always drawn as they are in inactive window.

@ryantrip do you think back/forward buttons should have inactive state?
