Applying a state for an article from unread list/ archive list

Open foxmask opened this issue 7 years ago • 7 comments

To avoid to open an article for archiving/deleting it , it will be fine if we could :

  • From the unread list :

slide article on right to delete it or on left to archive/mark as read

  • From the archive list :

slide article on right to delete it or on left to mark as unread

This behavior will mimic the behavior of how mail are manager with Gmail

By slide you mean drag & drop ?

no not drag and drop, on Gmail you drag and drop with the browser from a desktop but not with gmail from the smartphone, I meant : "glisser le doigt de droite à gauche (archiver) ou de gauche à droite (supprimer)"

Highly confirm that! Just wanted to create the same topic but came to this one. I very miss delete function too.

Slide means slide, not drag and drop. It is also called swipe, and it looks like this

For example after sliding in Pocket special toolbar is appeared, and there are actions you can apply to article, including delete.

In Android there is onFling method for doing this.

Personally i dont like the pocket behavior. If I have a lot of notes to delete, it's too slow that way. Two actions for each note instead of one the "Gmail way"

Completely agree, mass deleting is what we need too. But now we do two actions even for single article deletion, which is dumb! Not to mention batch deletion.
