Last Commit (fix for null field inserts) not done in master?

Regarding the recent commit https://github.com/walkor/mysql/commit/28272aa68f9ea1a482f9bb0cf709d169f772d228 Could you commit the last fix to master branch too ? also for my own curiosity, why put it there and not master?
