Submit time to gitlab issues/merge requests

Gitlab has functionality to submit time spent on (via comments /spent 1h) in an issue or merge request. Since there's already existing commit-based integration with gitlab, is it viable to have it report to gitlab as well?

This has been on our radar for some time, but it's not on the roadmap yet. I'll update this issue when things change.

Good to see this is being tracked too. My company uses GitLab / Waka for time tracking now and having Waka handle that relation for us automatically would add real value.

Hi, I'd like to follow up and see if there is any progress on this issue? It would be great to see wakatime update my gitlab issue's time automatically.
