Allow to configure API URL

In order to support "third-party" backends like Wakapi, it would be nice if a user could configure the endpoints to use. However, I'm not sure sure how to best realize this, as, afaik, you need to explicitly "whitelist" a set of target domains a web extension is allowed to request. Any ideas?
