Documentation translations support
We’re interested in translating the Wagtail docs (#4968). Trying this out with the theme’s docs, I spotted a few issues:
- There are strings in the theme template marked for translation, for example "Edit on GitHub". I think those strings would need to be translated directly in this project
- A lot of strings aren’t marked for translation, for example "View source"
- The
langattribute on<html>isn’t set correctly - The Read the Docs version picker is still displayed in english when viewing docs in another language
- Images don’t seem to be translate-able
- I’ve had some trouble with RST syntax in translation message strings, although I think it might just be me not understanding it.
Nice to have:
- Have
hreflangattributes on pages
