@mixonic who will write the RFC?

Should this be considered with #832 or separately?

There is active movement around #830 which may address the issues raised here. I'll leave it open for now but it's possible that it will be superseded.

@thorsteinsson, @rwwagner90, @acorncom is there still interest in moving this forward? If so, I'll make sure that it gets a more proper review.

Sounds to me like this is ready for an actual RFC. There may still be some issues to hammer out, but that’s part of the RFC process.

I'd like to try to catch up on this, but maybe someone who has been following along can summarize where this stands.

@bendemboski are you still interested in getting this moved forward? If so, I'll do what I can to facilitate.

@bendemboski anything Core can do to help?

@MelSumner @wycats any updates here? This seems important, but we definitely need an RFC to get it going anywhere.
