Eterraverse: An Ecosystem of Interconnected Web3 Games

Project Abstract

Eterraverse is an ecosystem of interconnected Web3-enabled game templates—from daily rewards to a trading card game, strategy battler, and server-authoritative FPS—built on a Substrate-based chain. By providing open-source backend pallets and minimal, production-ready frontends, the project gives indie developers and small studios a practical starting point to experiment with on-chain progression, asset ownership, and monetization while adapting the stack to their own IP.

Thanks for the application @eca20 I will mark as ready for review and ping the committee.

In the meantime, the grant needs to meet our new guidelines. Can you elaborate on how this will directly add tangible value for DOT? Thanks.

@keeganquigley I added a section outlining tangible benefits and how the project creates value for DOT. I’m happy to clarify any part of our approach to ensure our project aligns with the Foundation’s goals in the gaming space. We are also open to incorporating any feedback we may receive from the committee

Hi @eca20 unfortunately the application was unable to garner enough approvals to be accepted. This is mainly due to gaming not being a huge priority for us. Additionally, the W3F grants program has been shut down. Therefore we won't be able to accept any revised proposals. Very sorry for the bad news here and we wish you the best of luck in securing funding for the project.

has the W3F grants program been shut down completely? Why the sudden disdain for gaming applications? This is the proper chain and hardware to make a competitive play over the next few years.

Hi @eca20, W3F still funds projects, but not through this program and more focused on the new, recently published grants guidelines. Gaming simply isn't one of the top priorities at the moment. I recommend checking out the Kusama Vision program or applying directly with the treasury.
