The proposed ISO mDL standard recognised 4 times for a credential (in this case a driving license):

  1. the time the original credential was issued
  2. the time the electronic credential was issued
  3. the time the electronic credential becomes invalid
  4. the time the original credential becomes invalid

It is recognised that this could be a common requirement for many VCs, e.g. a passport VC, a vaccination record, a European Health Card etc.

It would be very helpful if we could provide text in the guide recommending how these 4 times should be encoded as VC properties.
