empty search boxes are distracting

It's good to be able to search several things. But having the space at the top mostly filled with empty fields is a lot of space for no value.

It would be nice to have a single search box where you can enter titles, maturity levels, etc, and a separate "even harder to use" interface where you can put multiple bits of information (as I noted elsewhere, being able to combine with AND or OR is a helpful feature...
