Highlight the link in use
(credits to @ericprud for the idea)
Today, we have several links in the metadata headers of each spec. When a reader opens a document which isn't outdated, it's not clear to the reader if they're looking at a dated link, a latest version link, etc. It could be helpful to highlight, using JS, which link is currently displayed to the user. So that it comes more obvious to them.
@deniak @fantasai @marcoscaceres , wdyt?
Now that the latest version link can point to a different document than the dated link mentioned in the document, marking the "current link" can, indeed, be useful. Highlighting the link or adding a logo next to it can be an option.
Sounds helpful. Be nice to see a rough prototype and we could go from there.
Be nice to be able to use https://www.w3.org/TR/selectors-4/#the-local-link-pseudo :)
This didn't make the cut for P2021 but could still be used independently.
