Originally posted by Yukin2 September 2, 2025 I'm reading the SMuFL documents and I have a question about optional glyphs. In the documentation for optionalGlyphs under the "Metadata for SMuFL-compliant fonts" section, it states that "optionalGlyphs" structure contains a list of all the optional glyphs which code points range are U+F400–U+FFFF. 2025-09-02 174318 But the range of the Unicode Private Use Area used by SMuFL is U+E000–U+F8FF. And in "Recommended characters and optional glyphs" it says optional glyphs must be within the range U+F400–U+F8FF. 2025-09-02 175134 So what's going on here?
