Concepts to represent AI training is Permitted/Prohibited

Open coolharsh55 opened this issue 6 months ago • 4 comments

Following #82 adding ai:ModelTraining additional concepts should be developed to specify whether such training is permitted or prohibited, similar to P7012 concepts representing specific permissions/prohibitions.

May related, Creative Commons just recently launched "CC Signals" for review.

From https://creativecommons.org/ai-and-the-commons/cc-signals/implementation/ there are four proposed signals:

  • Credit
  • Direct Contribution
  • Ecosystem Contribution
  • Open

The first three looks like obligations (permitted, with these obligations). While the last one looks like a condition (prohibited, if condition is not met).

@bact interesting - thanks for sharing Art. It doesn't have a way to say "don't use this" though, which is what is needed in this issue.

Two IETF drafts updated today may provide few example of prohibited/permitted categories:

This draft provides robots.txt example https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-aipref-attach/:

Content-Usage: train-ai=n Content-Usage: /ai-ok/ train-ai=y

The train-ai is a vocab from this draft https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-aipref-vocab/ :
