Can we avoid term definition duplication across DID specs?

Open wip-abramson opened this issue 2 months ago • 2 comments

It would be ideal if this didn't duplicate definitions from other specs like https://www.w3.org/TR/did-1.1/#terminology. But I think there are technical reasons you have trouble deduplicating, perhaps that webref can't distinguish DID-ish terms from web platform terms well enough.

We should do the following:

  • Use xref and refer to did-core: https://respec.org/docs/#xref
  • Delete all duplicated terms in the Terminology section of DID Resolution

ottomorac1: we have some guidance from manu, now we need a willing participant to implement the changes
… I could try this on
… I may require some help, but I can make an initial proposal.
