Description of Behavior

For the unselected toggle buttons, all the assumptions are conveyed as if the quoted literal speech string must be spoken in order to pass the now-optional test.

MAY convey state 'not pressed'

Thank you for changing these to OPTIONAL (MAY), but the test still makes it seem as if VoiceOver is failing some user expectation, when instead, the state is conveyed using the platform convention, by the omission of the word "selected." If the expectation is written more resiliently, this could go back to a MUST expectation.

I would propose this and all similar tests be rephrased to be more resilient, such as:

MUST: convey the unpressed state using the platform or AT convention, for example, EITHER by literal speech ('not pressed', 'unselected', etc), OR by omission of the pressed state (avoiding the word "pressed" or "selected")

As it stands, the test expectations are more Windows-centric and verbose than they need to be...

Ditto for all the similar tests:

• toggle buttons
• checkboxes
• radio buttons
• etc.
