Add Landmark navigation
As per Daisy KB Navigation Category, Landmark section:
Landmarks provide easy access to major structural sections spread across a multi-document publication.
The presence of landmark can be indicated by ONIX 196 32 Landmark navigation: E-publication includes basic landmark navigation
This information claim is actually missing in EPUB discovery vocabulary. The proposal is to add it to Structure and Navigation Terms
See the use case and discussion at publ-a11y issue ONIX display - other values - landmark navigation - code 32 #300
I'm a bit sceptical about the value of this as what does it mean that landmarks are included? The only landmark that's often ever included or used by reading systems is to jump to the body content. Can you claim that landmarks are included if that's all you've added, and is that really all that helpful to users to know about?
This also isn't an epub vocabulary, so what does it mean for web content generally to say that landmarks are present? We're going to have overlaps with ARIA landmarks unless we make a more restrictive term name and definition.
Closing as the original request to add landmarks in the crosswalk has been fulfilled per Adds landmarks as per ONIX definition (e.g. not as ARIA but as an Index)
