Dock Freezing

Open ButisitArt opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

I'm using the latest version of cDock & the dock is intermittently freezing when activating dock with my cursor. My dock is in hide mode. The dock will pop up, and I don't even have to click an icon it will just freeze.

Even killall dock in terminal won't restart/unfreeze it. The only thing that works is opening Activity monitor & killing the dock there, using restart in the cDock app, or just rebooting the Mac.

One think I just noticed after having to kill the dock again while writing this: there are 2 instances of Dock Extra - PID 3112 & 3113. Is that normal?

Any ideas? Any fix?

Thanks ... Joe

I think the double Dock Extra is normal.

I'm not sure there is much I can do to debug if that app isn't actually crashing. I can't reproduce the freezing. What settings are you using in cDock?

Hi …

Here are my settings. (screenshots)

And I’ve attached a cDock crash report if that helps.

These are the only cDock entries in system.log (if that helps too)
