I'd also like to know. I'm combing through so many forks. I found one with work up to August 2021, so far.

The Debian package: https://packages.debian.org/stable/telegram-cli lists this project (vysheng/tg) as the official source (homepage).

https://github.com/kenorb-contrib/tg seems to have the most recent pushes in combination with most stars: https://techgaun.github.io/active-forks/index.html#vysheng/tg

The Archlinux AUR package also uses the repository from kenorb-contrib.

The Debian package: https://packages.debian.org/stable/telegram-cli lists this project (vysheng/tg) as the official source (homepage).

sadly, one can't find nowhere any packages with the mentioned or similar name in Debian's whole repositories anymore...

But we can just use to use some neat, but unpopular workaround! One option would be to search the web(-"archives") for older telegram-cli releases and simply install one of them on some old^(n)stable release of Debian. You know, just like with Windows, but the other way round :)

Don't forget to disable any network connections - et voila.
