Component Button Ripple Effect is not working on Router Link

Steps to reproduce

• Install and setup Vue and Vue material
• Add this line to App.vue

<md-button to="#">Default</md-button>
<md-button>Default</md-button>
<md-button :href="#">Default</md-button>

• Compare the 3 buttons.

Which browser?

Chrome Windows Version 84.0.4147.105 (Official Build) (64-bit) vue: ^2.6.11, vue-material: ^1.0.0-beta-14

What is expected?

Ripple effect to also work with router link

What is actually happening?

Only button and link have ripple effect. See screenshot below
