Lower Ruby dependency if possible

Is there a reason to have a dependency on version 2.4.1 of Ruby ? It prevents us to use this gem in a Logstash plugin (or any other JRuby environment).

Thanks for reporting this. Actually I haven't checked if the dependency is necessary. These were my default settings when I started to work on this gem.

I don't think I am able to test if the gem works in the environment you mention. Have you tried to download the source code, change the dependency to your needs and rebuild the gem locally?

We made some tests, and it seemed to work in a JRuby 9.1.17 environment (equivalent to Ruby 2.3).

At the moment, we use the last version of the gem without Ruby dependency in logstash, but we don’t have the match with the last version of RediSearch then.
