Create a homepage for the toqito project

Project Description:

Probably the most similar project to compare what would be a reasonable goal to would be the official website for the qutip package: qutip.org.

The "toqito.com" domain (which has been secured and registered) would be used for the official URL to launch the landing page. Some of the primary pieces of the home page should include (but is not limited to) the following:

  • A display of the toqito logo on the home page
  • Relevant links to the GitHub repo, documentation, and other relevant resources.
  • toqito focused blog
  • An RSS feed for a toqito focused blog
  • An RSS feed for releases (similar to the qutip download page).
  • An RSS feed for news and updates (similar to the qutip news page).

Ideally, we would use something Markdown-driven. One such example could be something that uses the Hugo framework.

Expected Outcomes: The primary outcome is to create a landing page (similar to the one for qutip) hosted on toqito.com. The website should ideally use minimal dependencies to alleviate the maintenance technical debt of updates, etc.

@vprusso We can divide this work into two phases. In the first phase, I would focus on the UI and structure of the website. I’ll design the main landing page and other key sections in Figma and share the design links so they can be reviewed and verified before moving ahead. This phase would mainly be about layout, content placement, and overall look and feel, and it should take around one week. Once the UI is finalized, the second phase would be to actually build the website using a markdown-based setup (for example Hugo), and then connect things like the blog, RSS feeds, and links to the repo and documentation.

As Vincent stated in the other issue https://github.com/vprusso/toqito/issues/1356#issuecomment-3607983830, this is an issue associated with unitaryDESIGN. Please pick other issues to work on.
