You can also use custom [SaltStack states](https://openmediavault.readthedocs.io/en/5.x/various/advset.html#the-saltstack-states). But this requires a little bit knowledge about Salt.
Which SSH key did you import? The public key for users in the 'Access Rights Management | Users' section or the public/private key in the 'Systems | Certificates' section?
Is the user added to the SSH group?
After creating a new user, added it to the SSH group and append the public key i was able to log in via SSH to the OMV box without problems.
