This project raises my eyebrows - there are only 6 commits altogether, 6 years ago, and the only tag is marked "pre". That doesn't bode well for the quality and probably other maintainers wanting to merge this PR.

It's true. There are as far as I know 2 available open source implementations: https://github.com/aff4/aff4-cpp-lite https://github.com/Velocidex/c-aff4 Some tools use the first one, some the second. Both are old and not feature complete, that's quite unfortunate but it is what it is. Aff4 images are rare. I can live without this package but it would be a nice addition.
