Notes:

  • Starting with FLAC version 1.4.3, the PowerPC-specific build tags (e.g., --enable-altivec and --enable-vsx) have been removed. This update reflects that change.
  • Both libFLAC and libFLAC++ have been updated, which required a revision bump (revbump) for all dependent packages.
  • I have tested the updated packages with libopenmpt, libsndfile, audacious-plugins, k3b, kid3, and mednafen on my machine.
  • Additionally, I am applying to become the FLAC maintainer on this PR.

Is there any way we can help this to be pulled?

Thanks for your interest in the PR and for offering your help! It's been a while since I last worked on this, so I need to review the updated packages and adjust the revbump for a smooth merge. If you’d like to help further, feel free to compile/test any packages you think might need attention (I listed some I tested earlier, but others could be useful too). After that, we’ll need to wait for the Void Linux maintainers’ review, which might take some time. I appreciate your patience and collaboration.

Please do a test build of all packages in the PR, now its merged and half build with packages that fail to compile and its now blocking the whole repo.

Hi, I had reviewed the commits and ended up pushing the updates, but I actually intended to mark the PR as a draft since I was still retesting things locally after switching computers and wasn't sure if everything was working properly. I saw in my email that the package had been merged, and just now I read your message. I'm sorry for the trouble this caused. I noticed the impact it had on the buildbot and would like to help. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to assist in fixing or improving the situation.
