Spot metering works kind of funny: seems to be influenced by global auto exposure

Describe the bug To preface, I'm sure this is probably inevitable. However: it appears that when using the light meter around bright spots of light, whether the bright light is in frame significantly influences the exposure reading, even if you put the spot on the entire other edge of the view.

Thus I'm unsure of the reliability of the spot metering.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Find a scene like a dark room with one light in the corner
  2. Select a point on the wall that will be metered that is some angle from the light such that you can put the light out of frame. Tap the viewfinder to meter at this point, with the light in view.
  3. Remember the reading from this point.
  4. Point the camera so the lamp is out of frame, tap the same point in space again, and take another reading.
  5. Observe a difference in reading in spite of the point not having changed.

In a particularly dark room, I observed this to read at 4.7EV with the lamp in the edge of the frame vs 2.9EV with the lamp out of frame.

This leads me to believe that the operating system camera drivers are negating the effect of the spot metering feature, or that the spot metering feature contains a bug.

Expected behavior I expect the lamp to not influence the reading of the meter.
