Add support ALT to guest customization

How to add support ALT distributive to guest customization? We are use "etcnet" (https://en.altlinux.org/Etcnet) for init network.

Hi @shaba ,

May I know which Guest OS are you using? Please find guest customization supported Guest OS list at https://partnerweb.vmware.com/programs/guestOS/guest-os-customization-matrix.pdf As far as I know, "etcnet" is not network configuration of above supported Guest OS.

I use ALT Linux (altlinux.org). I know VMware not supported ALT. I ask you to add support ALT. I can help you add support.

It's 2025 now, and after failed try in cloning alt linux 10.2.1 SP with terraform on esxi 7, and as the russian proverb said, "And the cart is still there."
