@ionutnechita Glad to know you want to use BYOH :) We have not tested with Ubuntu 22.04. But we plan on testing it soon. We will let you know the outcome.

FYI, I’ve hit issues with Cilium on Ubuntu 22.04, so it might be that there are other issues as well.

Probably fine if you know how to finness other people's Linux opinions: https://github.com/cilium/cilium/issues/20125#issuecomment-1185176384

Thanks @DavidSpek and @protosam, This is useful context and it seems like the issue is fixed in https://github.com/cilium/cilium/pull/20072

I personally don't subscribe to the idea of this being a cilium issue to "fix". It's a system administrator's job to manage their OS to use software like this.

However, if "fixed" means that cilium will patch the OS config, it's not "fixed" then.

https://github.com/cilium/cilium/pull/20072 only patches 1 directory (by creating new conf I think? too lazy to check...) https://github.com/cilium/cilium/blob/d84e67ebca476559e789378c991a75c7e2849673/tools/sysctlfix/main.go#L24
