Application menus are missing from apps requiring root

The Global Menu does not display the menus for applications requiring root such as Synaptic. Nor do the menus appear in the application itself. The application menus are missing. Can they be restored somehow?

Hi @Electrocat. I will try to reproduce this. I have a suspicion this bug is also present in the original GlobalMenu extension which unfortunately has a lot of known issues (especially with some apps not exporting their app menus 😢 )
